It is a side scrolling RTS base building tower defense ... thing. And it nails the concept. Fight your way though the blue creeper, an alien liquid, that will destroy the universe! Also against robots, creeper spore clouds and what not. There is gravity, pressure and the layout of the sediment to consider. It is a bit different than CW2, but it also started as a free browser game, so you can try it out, before you buy the improved version here. It's really good, a must for strategy fans.Follow my curator at https://store.steampowered.com/curator/28337205-Fair-Minded-Witness/. Creeper World 2 changes from the first game with a foreward perspective instead of a top down. While the gameplay is similar to the first in the series, there are obvious differences, such as lack of a large spiderlike network and the ability to dig into the rock. Many new gimmicks are introduced into this game, notably the ability to destroy emitters, which carried over to the 3rd game. At first some of the concepts such as the shapes the creeper made were hard to understand, but with time it became clear. Unfortunately, for me it feels like the gimmicks were not used to their full potential, though they were dug into during the bonus missions, and this could be solved with more bonus missions. Specifically, the units given to you during the final level are only available on the last missions of the story and bonus campaigns, and it would have been interesting for them to have seen more use. In short CW2 is a great addition to the series, and although it has some differences from the other games in the series, any Knuckle Cracker fan should enjoy it for its gameplay and low price.. Enjoying it just as much as the first one.. I love this series, and CW2 is a fine variation on the kill-the-slime theme, with rich content added by Custom and Code missionsHowever, it’s all brought down by the abysmal design of mission 13, which reminds me more of a platformer a la Manic Miner than a strategy game.Creeper World for me is all about quickly assessing a situation and developingan approach that might work, and then proceeding to slowly erode the enemy’sstrength while hunting for that vulnerability that will lead me to victory. At no point do I enjoy having to follow a strict sequence of events to be performed in a barely sufficient amount of time. That’s called Work and I have enough of it already.. Creeper world 2 is probably the weakest of the three games. To cut it short, honestly.I am happy with it. All three creeper world games are great. They're fun, they're all unique but this one is a bit too unique. To make it clear I love it, it's not bad, it is not bad,. Seriously, it's good. Check it out.My reasoning is the follwing: Creeper world was ground breaking, introduced the creeper which was unique and very interesting in how it functioned. The totems, the urgency to escape, the need to survive. In the last game you won, you should know this. But the creeper here unlike the last game though, the scale of the maps are not planetary but it's more as if you're looking into the ground from the side? And this goes for the units and the overall layout, which in an odd stray from the original formula, Is more like a true to be tower defense angle I suppose, but instead of top down it's like .. Imagine cutting an entire chunk out of a minecraft world and then surrounding it with glass up to the sky, I guess? Basically it's like an X-ray shot half way into the ground. Instead of odin city, you pilot a ship which allows you to build infrastructure to fight the creeper like in the first game but.. it's just weird compared to either of the other titles. It's hard to describe too but it's definitely fun and worth the money.I don't really uh.. have much else to say. It's good, by all means. Pros: Great sound track, unique gameplay, good story, interesting characters and lore and a lot moreCons: Strays from the original formula, is difficult to work with at times and can take multiple tries at a level before figuring out a solution to fix it such as the 'time attack' esque levels. It's much more stressful and strategy based. You can't exactly abuse units like in the first game.Overall I suggest it heavily all the same just like the previous installment and the next one as well. Check it out fam! It will waste your time satisfyingly!
